From their very first day with the organisation, members are made aware of the challenges facing society, the importance of their actions and the need to take a proactive stance in addressing them. To ensure the implementation of JuniFEUP’s CSR strategy, a multidisciplinary team was set up to develop activities and projects with a significant socio-economic and environmental impact.
Reflecting this commitment, the team has produced the 2025 Sustainability Report, which transparently presents the concrete results achieved in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas.
A clean-up was carried out at Homem do Leme Beach to collect accumulated litter, contributing to the preservation of the marine environment and raising awareness of the importance of conserving coastal areas.
Promoting solidarity, raising participants’ awareness of the importance of blood donation and contributing directly to increasing hospital blood stocks, supporting efforts that help save lives.
An action that mobilized the academic community to donate food, clothing and school supplies to support those most in need. The 350 kg of goods collected were donated to Casa do Caminho and Albergues do Porto.
Raising participants’ awareness of the importance of combating hunger and reducing food waste, whilst combining this awareness with a direct contribution to the distribution of food to the most vulnerable people.
A social gathering dedicated to the ‘zero waste’ objective. The initiative ensured there was no waste, leftovers or wastage of materials, promoting more sustainable practices.
An initiative that combines sport with community engagement to raise funds for a cause. In 2024, the funds raised were donated to the Portuguese League Against Cancer, and in 2025 to the Acreditar association.
At an internal event attended by all JuniFEUP members, the carbon footprint associated with the event was calculated, enabling us to identify opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of our initiatives.
Organised in partnership with EPIC Júnior, this event promoted interaction, team spirit and the well-being of participants, strengthening the relationship between the junior enterprises. The funds raised were donated to Make-A-Wish.
