On November 22nd, JuniFEUP was present at JEday 2024, held at Teatro Aberto, in Lisbon. This event, which marked World Junior Enterprise Day, was a unique opportunity to share our work, learn from other Junior Enterprises and connect with partners and leaders who believe in the impact of our movement.

One of the most important moments was the “Stepping In” moment, where we had the privilege of going up on stage alongside other Junior Enterprises. Here we were able to share a little of our history, our projects and, finally, the awards we have won most recently. It was, in fact, an enriching experience to present what we do at JuniFEUP and understand how our work contributes to the development of skills, innovation and positive impact on society.

The event also featured round tables that provided in-depth and inspiring discussions. We discussed the future of the economy alongside partners such as ANJE and IPDJ, and had the opportunity to hear from former members of the Junior Movement, whose experiences reinforce the value and relevance of Junior Enterprises.

We would also like to thank the Minister of Youth and Modernization, Dr. Margarida Balseiro Lopes, and the Councilor of the Lisbon City Council, Dr. Joana Oliveira Costa, for her presence and support for our movement. The appreciation of Junior Enterprises is essential for us to continue growing and inspiring young entrepreneurs.

JEday 2024 was a milestone not only in our journey as Junior Entrepreneurs, but also for me personally. It was impressive to realize how much Junior Enterprises have the power to create impact, connect young people and positively influence the future. I was truly surprised and inspired by the strength of this movement and how, together, we were able to create something bigger. I left this event more motivated than ever and with a clear vision of the impact I want to help generate through JuniFEUP.
