On April 4th, 5th, and 6th, JuniFEUP – Junior Enterprise of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, after being recognized at the European level as the Most Socially Responsible Junior Enterprise (award granted by Junior Enterprises Europe in March 2025), was honored with the awards for Most Socially Responsible Junior Enterprise and Project of the Year within the scope of the jeniAL awards 2025.
The jeniAL, a national youth entrepreneurship event, took place at the University of Aveiro, gathering more than 350 young entrepreneurs, where training sessions and networking moments highlighted the best Junior Enterprises in the country.
The evaluation process, supported by associations and leading market companies, included top specialists from various fields – Ana Monteiro (BeXC), Sara Batista (EY), Etelvina Nabais (Inova Quality Hub), Erica Mendes (DHL), Gil Moreira (Sapo), Beatriz Almeida (ANJE), Mariana Aguiar (P&G), David Gomes (OB), André Cardoso (CNJ), Catarina Correia (Unicorn Factory), João Ramos (Glintt), Bruno Campos (Fundação da Juventude), Maria Jordão (Worten), and Rita Botelho (Instituto Rodrigo Guimarães).
The honor of Most Socially Responsible Junior Enterprise, sponsored by Worten and represented by Maria Jordão, recognizes the efforts made in sustainability and social impact.
The Project of the Year, an innovative automatic scheduling platform, enabled a reduction of 11,375 hours of annual workload for the Porto Fire Department. The distinction, supported by Sapo, included the participation of executive director Gil Moreira and acknowledges JuniFEUP’s commitment to supporting one of the pillars of the community.

They are a source of pride for the entire structure and a reminder that with dedication, impactful projects, and a focus on the world around us, it is possible to go further and “exceed the extraordinary”.”

For the second consecutive year, JuniFEUP has been recognized by the Junior Movement, with 2 national awards in addition to a European award, reinforcing the commitment to excellence and the values cultivated over more than 20 years and 200+ completed projects.
Additionally, the awards for Junior Enterprise of the Year and Most Innovative Junior Enterprise were granted to Junitec, and the award for Most Promising Junior Enterprise was presented to Júnior Data Consulting.
